“To see a World in a grain of sand and Heaven in a wild flower…” is to love the Earth.

My art springs from a desire to commune with and honor Nature, through process, materials, and with the symbols and images that emerge. My aim is to breathe life into ideas and images that re-enchant the World, this beautiful blue marble that sparkles with our existence.

I’ve always enjoyed playing creatively with a variety of art materials in a mixed media approach. A kind of alchemy occurs in art making. In my art I utilize papermaking, oil painting, collage and oil transfer techniques.

Each of these works holds a kind of narrative. Through art making, I tell myself stories with the mythic imagery that is revealed. A reverie develops often changing as I reflect, pondering the meaning, of my life, and the world around me.

“To see a World in a Grain of Sand

And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,

Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand

And Eternity in an hour.” William Blake
